Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs 2016

The 65th MCAA Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on October 14th to 16th, 2016.

As a regional conference of the Association of Asian Studies (AAS), MCAA provides a forum for scholars and teachers of Asian Studies in the Midwest to gather and exchange knowledge about the history and cultures of Asia for over a half-century. The conference features individual paper presentations, as well as panels and roundtables at, which faculty, and graduate and undergraduate students present and discuss new research and pedagogical tools.


The Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies (CEAPS) is a cultural and academic resource center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education which supports teaching and research topics related to Asia Pacific across all disciplines, and works actively with all academic units and student groups to promote and enhance campus-wide understanding of the Asia Pacific region.
